The adult male African Paradise Flycatcher (Terpsiphone viridis), is about 17cm (6.7 in) long, and has stunning, very long tail streamers, which more than double its length. It has a dark head, neck and underparts, and chestnut wings and tail. It is insectivorous, catching its prey on the wing in the manner of all flycatchers.
