Lion Pair Snarling Aggresion After Mating
A male Lion (Panthera leo) and lioness snarling and biting after mating. This aggression is a feature in the mating ritual of the lion family. During mating, the male lightly bites the nape of the female's neck, then growls and snarls at the climax before dismounting quickly and jumping aside to avoid the teeth and claws of the female.
