European Roller (Coracias garrulus)
The European Roller is a common summer visitor to the Kruger National Park. It prefers woodland and bushveld areas where it will be found singly, but often with many birds in sight of each other. It is the only member of the roller family to breed in Europe. This one shows the electric blue feathers which are visible in flight.
